These dogs are struggling to keep their heads above water. They’re being forced to pull a large metal carriage in neck-deep floodwater as a “training exercise” for the Iditarod — a deadly race that has already claimed 150 dogs’ lives. PETA is calling for a criminal investigation into these abusive conditioning tactics. Dogs belong in loving homes, not cruel and dangerous situations being forced to train for 1,000+ mile races in harsh Alaskan winters.
