The greatest compliments are fur guests running up to our front doors wriggling and waggling like a bowl of jello! Fur parents tell us that their dogs start barking and get excited before turning on to our road. The Pawkeepers have a mission to provide an alternative to crating and caging your family pet. The Pawkeepers is a unique bed & biscuit inn, offering the comforts, love & care that is not available in crates & kennels.
Taking your beloved pet to a place where they will be on their own at night without the comfort of a loving human, no couches, no carpet and nowhere to run makes every dog owner feel like canceling their trip. We have all seen pictures of unhappy dogs in crates begging for some attention or the chance to be set free. The Pawkeepers are decidedly against dog kennels and this terrible method of confining dogs in cages.
We fully understand that sick dogs on the mend may need to be housed by a veterinarian to ensure proper recovery, but healthy family pets are an important member of your family and need to be in a loving home environment!
The Pawkeepers provide loving families for customer's pets in private homes. All dogs are free to enjoy the comforts of a home, unlike a crate or kennel that has been shared by so many.

At The Pawkeepers, we strive to keep your pet happy, healthy and secure while you are away.
By keeping your dog in a familiar home environment you will be reducing stress and anxiety. Your dog will not be caged, have regular feeding schedules, companionship, exercise and lots of love.
There is no separation anxiety as your dog will have both human contact twenty four hours a day and the doggy companionship they so enjoy. Your dog deserves a doggy vacation too. There is nothing better than seeing a dog run and play or curled up for a nap on the sofa.
Our certified caregivers are mature responsible adult animal lovers, who have been personally screened and selected by Lesley Sullivan, the owner of The Pawkeepers. It takes three months of intense training to receive certification as a Pawkeeper caregiver. From interviewing and inspection of home facilities, to learning the needs of each guest, feeding, exercise, comfort and play.
Once a Pawkeeper has been trained and certified they can provide the highest standards of care to your dog.
Our Pawkeepers are stay-at-home Moms and Dads or active seniors with a love and passion for dogs.
Your pet becomes part of their family which offers a home-like situation that your dog will truly enjoy.
