The duckling hatch is happening, won’t be moving any today to the barn this batch seems to be hatching closer to the 28 day mark and not so many early ones like previous hatches this spring.
I was changing the water for the ducks at 5;45am and I went back in and got the camera, had to show the amount of activity these ducks do this early in the morning.
I’m trying to slow down the morning rush because of the little ducks in the pen, they could get hurt in a an all out crazy morning rush, and Dug is doing a perfect job slowing them down plus using the two gates.
The ducks don’t waste anytime they go straight to the lake now in the mornings, pretty soon they won’t even be in the yard anymore.
I had big plans to get a lot of things done today but the heat was crazy it was 34°C in the shade on the north side of the house, basically everyone was doing nothing here today.
Later in the day we got a good down pour of rain and of course the ducks took full advantage of the rain.
