Pre-morning rush recon to make sure the ducks were safe going through the swamp to the lake.
The morning rush today was freaking fast the ducks spent less than 90 seconds in the yard before deciding to rush through the swamp to the lake, it was so fast I had a hard time getting up the ladder in time to get into position to film it.
Captured some great Muscovy Duck flying action today from the aerial view position on top of the ladder against the tree, everyday more and more flying action it’s great.
The same group is hanging around at the rear of the morning rush, they are a bunch of last’s years Pekin female ducks, they seem to like the weeds in the old area that use to be brush.
A flock of seagulls came in and circled the ducks on the lake, basically freaking them out.
Around 4;30 pm 1/3 of the flock came home they came home this time almost silent I didn’t even hear them until they were in the yard. I’m getting seriously ripped off with the rush home videos I went to all the trouble to get a great aerial view and they keep sneaking home on me before I can get up in the tree to film it.
Discovered a deformed duck tonight I’ve never seen it before but it looks like it’s tongue has grown through the bottom of it’s bill.
