3;30am ducks were outside playing in the snow, now that the nights are warmer the ducks are out of the barn at night in the dark.
Really frustrated today the piece of crap Pivotheads kept dying today I lost so much good footage that I thought I was recording to only find out they had turned themselves off.
Moe the Muscovy drake might be mating with his female Muscovy ducks, the females look dirty but we never see Moe in action.
It warmed up today to +5°C, I had talked myself out of cleaning the barn out and giving my back some more time to rest and heal but it was so nice out I had to get out and do something, so the barn is getting cleaned today.
While I was out cleaning the barn I thought I’d leave the gate open so the ducks could come out and play in the yard, they didn’t waste much time coming out of the pen.
I’m switching the feed back to the layer today no more mixing with the scratch grain, I’ve noticed the eggs were getting smaller and smaller every day plus the really thin shells on top of the ducks starting to eat their eggs again.
I set the hose up outside while I was cleaning the barn out and not one duck was interested in playing with the garden house spraying the whole afternoon, I guess freedom was more fun today for them.
