Feeding Wild Mallard Ducks

This is a pair of Mallard Ducks that we've had visit our yard for the past several years. They usually arrive around late March or April, and come by almost every day through around July or August. Today, the bird feeder they usually eat from was empty, so as I went out to fill it back up for them, they came waddling over to me, and the male decided to eat from my little container. It has cracked corn, and various shell-less birdseed. It's the first time I've ever had them come up to me like that.
