-37°C wind chill this morning at 5 am and the thermometer said it was -30°C, so far this is the coldest day of the winter here.
I can’t believe how quite the ducks are today in the barn it’s like they know its freaking cold outside and have no urge to go outside, just sit back and let me bring them water and food and enjoy.
When I went back to the barn later in the morning the ducks had enough of the barn and wanted out big time, they were deafening loud. I think cabin fever was starting to set in and the had enough.
They are so dirty they really need a bath today so bad and they are in luck the weather is warming up later today so they are going to get out to have a bath or shower and I get to clean the barn today.
A clean duck in a warm duck and they wasted no time coming out of the barn and heading straight for the bathtub, it was more than likely the most serious duck cleaning I’ve ever seen here. Big time bath day on the duck adventure almost all the ducks from what I saw cleaned themselves up today.
Dug and I went for a walk to the lake and can’t believe the amount of tracks in the bush, I’m going to have a fox problem this coming spring if I don’t get rid of that brush pile completely very soon.
