Rained all night and it’s still raining this morning so the ducks’ morning rush has to be filmed with the Pivotheads, the big camera doesn’t like the rain.
I didn’t open the big gate so we had a crazy rush out of the little gate a couple ducks tripped but no one got hurt, won’t be doing that again got to open both gates for the ducks.
Dug is in lockdown in the house doing some rest and recovery for his shoulder, he does not like it at all he’s going a bit crazy being locked up in the house.
Considering 5 months ago he was an apartment dog locked up inside all day and now he can’t handle 3 days without running the property just shows he’s now a country dog.
I’m doing the herding myself today and do I ever wish Dug was helping the ducks are not co-operating going to the lake just too much mud to drill in for them to stay focused.
The weather is crazy warm the flies hatching are nuts there is no way you could do a cull without creating a ton of extra work because of the flies.
Last night the ducks slept all night even though it rained they weren’t even partying in the pen which during a rain storm they usually do the all night kegger frat party.
I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning a male Muscovy flying down to the lake, it wasn’t a female far too big of a bird that is not suppose to happen.
Today I have to do a feed run and this time I’m taking my camera along to show you guys where I get my feed for the ducks.
When we got back from the farm the ducks had already come home, and they were completely calm in the yard so there must of not been a problem coming up the creek.
Dug took his place on the hot tub watching over his ducks in the back yard, pretty hard for a predator to sneak up with him watching over the flock.
It was so nice out that at the end of the day even though it was dark the ducks didn’t want to go into the pen for the night.
