Ducklings from yesterday are doing fantastic in the kiddie pool, they are going to get the barn floor today.
It was strange the ducks in the pen were fast asleep and didn’t wake up when I came out of the house this morning to let them out.
The teenage ducklings need more practice for morning rush they are still seriously confused on getting out of the pen.
The remaining 16 ducklings in the hatcher are going to the barn today, so I hatched 214 ducklings in total out of 333 eggs (64%) that I put in the hatcher I honestly think it’s the Purina Layena that is the problem too much calcium in the feed so the shells are too tough for the ducklings to break free.
Including the http://www.freyshatchery.com donation this batch of ducklings is 257 fluff balls of cuteness.
We’re going on a road trip today to pick up duck feed from Robert who supplies our local grain for the duck adventure, we’re going to actually see how the feed is bagged today.
