5;20am and it was -17°C took the ducks water down to the barn, today they get out of the barn later today when it warms up so I can do a clean out of the barn and get them new straw for the extreme cold that is headed our way.
Did egg recon early since the ducks are in lock down in the barn, if I left the eggs too long we know what the ducks would end up doing with the eggs and it wouldn’t be good.
Seriously warmed up mid day it was perfect to kick the ducks out of the barn and get to cleaning out not only the barn but the back of the truck of all the feed and straw I picked up yesterday.
When I let the ducks out it was incredible how loud the ducks were, it was almost deafening.
We’ve got a fox visiting the property I found tracks all around the compost pile while I was cleaning out the barn, Dug gave me a hand pulling the sleigh it was more like a comedy show compared to really helping me.
The ducks spent the whole day playing in the water cleaning themselves, they really don’t like being dirty and the past few days in the barn they certainly needed a good cleaning.
