Ducks and aquatic animals make me feel better everyday
Because they've got the life that I want and they don't care if they go or stay.
And ducks, they've got wings and they were meant to fly
and they get to see the world, flying high up in the sky.
And fish they lounge the beach all day and soak their scales in the sun
with no one to spoil their fun. No one to call them a beach bum.
But, me, I've got my vices and I've got my bills to pay,
so I guess I won't get what I want, no, I guess I will have to stay
In this town, eating junk food and waiting for my life to start,
but I feel like a duck at heart.
And kittens and puppy dogs have so much love in their heart
that they don't know where to start to show even half of it.
But, humans, we haven't gotten it right and all we do is yell at fight
and, despite the animalistic tendencies, of God's great kingdom
I think pets understand the world's need for love.
So when the world just doesn't seem right and everyone sees in the black and white,
please do me a favor and make like a duck and fly.
