Big shock today I discover the Rouen rape victim on the back deck has no freaking eye balls; she is 100% blind, what a shocker that was.
She is so small only maybe 2 ½ lbs at the most, she wouldn't be much of a meal, I guess we'll call here Ms. Magoo with the orange leg band.
Today egg recon the egg count is getting less and less now that they are in a serious moult, only 28 Pekin/Rouen eggs and 7 Muscovy duck eggs. It looks like the Muscovy have started to moult also the bath tub has feathers in it and the inside of the pen on the Muscovy side is getting feathers along the edges, maybe the Muscovy females will be able to fly soon.
Today I've no only got to take care of the Rouen rape victim but I have to treat the female Pekin duck with the eye infection, Dug gave me a hand separating the ducks he a fantastic dog.
600 Duck egg hatcher update, today the hatcher gets the shelves installed and ready for the electronic controllers, tomorrow is going to be a good day on the hatcher build, I was hoping on getting it running today but it looks like tomorrow. Just too many delays in fabrication process today, to be expected when you are MacGyvering something together from nothing.
At the end of the day I noticed some Pekin ducks working their way to the creek down the swamp super highway, every day they go farther and farther on their own.
