Mallard Ducklings in Care at Toronto Wildlife Centre

Baby Mallards are common patients at TWC.
They are usually brought to the centre when they are just one or two days old, after having been found wandering around on their own.
Daily access to water is important for mallards so they can develop their swimming skills and maintain their waterproofing, but when they are very young their swim time must be supervised so they don't drown.
