2 female Muscovy ducks did a prison break at 5;30am, I looked out my bedroom window and they were sitting on the fence posts and then they were gone flying across the yard.
The ducklings want out seriously bad out of the barn, they are pushing up against the gate to get out, they’ve tasted freedom.
Still nothing on the goose egg in the hatcher, it is still early but it’s day 29 which the rest of the goose eggs this year hatch at this point.
Losing eggs in the pen since the ducks don’t have nesting boxes I’ve got to get that set up, but first I’ve got to take care of the ducklings water set up out side.
Bad news on Moe he has to go and pretty soon, he’s getting too aggressive towards the females, I’ve ordered new Muscovy from http://www.freyshatchery.com Ken the owner is going to fix me with some new Muscovy blood for the duck adventure.
Today we had some YouTube visitors from Texas, Charles has been a fan of the show big time and wanted to donate to the cause and see the operation, he brought his wife Kristi and their new born baby along.
One of the Muscovy females maybe the one I took the babies away from got inside the barn and wants to stay with all the ducklings.
The geese are taking over the ducklings when they are free ranging in the yard.
