Well today most of my duck expansion plans are on hold the weather man is calling for a massive snow storm so I've got to get ready for it, don't have all my winter yard stuff done.
The morning rush was great the ducks did their speedy exit out of the pen like usual.
We've got a rogue chicken that isn't coming home at night, she comes home during the day to eat and then takes off before I lock the pen up for the night.
Turns out this is the coldest November so far in 80 years, wouldn't you know it right when I've got a ton of stuff to do outside in November.
The Muscovy drakes seem to be getting they mates in order, the females are hanging around with the drake of their choice now.
The afternoon it seriously warmed up and the ducks had some serious fun in their bath tub later in the day.
Turns out the ducks don't like the High Pressure Sodium yard light I put up in the pen area, it must be the colour of the light they aren't roaming around in the pen with the yard light, so I've ordered Metal Halide wall pack so I can get white light for them in their pen.
The warm up we're having the ducks are loving it, the snow is melting and they can get at the grass in the lawn.
Ducks are dropping eggs every where and not just in the mornings either, basically they are dropping eggs all day long. ----------------------------------------------
