Last night it was a brutal -22°C with a damp wind, but that didn't phase the ducks I could hear them outside at 5:00am playing in the bath tub.
The last 10 days or so I've noticed the ducks getting up earlier every day, spring is around the corner.
Ducks are seriously enjoying their duck patio in front of the barn it faces south by southwest and gets lots of sun and provides a certain amount of wind protection from the cold north wind off the lake.
While I was getting the garden hose out to fill up the bath tub I caught Moe trying to have sex with the Rouen drake, those Muscovy drakes swing both ways it seems.
Rouen females are always the first back into the tub when I fill it up with fresh water, it seems they wait for me to change the water.
Ms. Icecovy in the hospital slash nursery has now laid 4 eggs and is building a very serious nest in the recycling box. She's got a new way to keep the hospital clean blowing her feces out the cage holes. Got to give her credit she knows how to keep nesting area clean.
Gave her another warm bath to clean up her feet and give her another treatment of Antibiotic Anti-inflammatory spray for her poor frost bite feet. Her feet are healing amazing. ----------------------------------------------
