The duck pen is now separated by breed so I can get pure breed duck eggs but the ducks are seriously hating it now being separated from their fellow ducks, seriously depressed ducks now.
I don't know if I can keep them this way or not, it's depressing me seeing them depressed like this. But I will say there is lots of duck sex happening now they are separated from each other, really busy ducks.
It might be the depression of being separated but the ducks are a lot more relaxed now being with their own breed, based on what I've read it should only take about 4-5 days and the eggs I will be getting should be pure breed duck eggs, the drake has scrubbers on their penis that destroys another drakes semen in the female duck.
Yesterday I got 55 duck eggs, so far I've got over 450 eggs saved for the incubator which is now sitting in Montreal, it should clear customs either today or tomorrow.
Today I got a surprise during the egg recon the Rouen are laying white eggs, their eggs are suppose to be an aqua green.
