Arijit Guha of West Bengal Nadia district has been raising khaki Campbell ducks for almost two and a half years. It is the first largest commercial duck farm in West Bengal. This huge commercial duck farm with about a thousand ducks on one and a half bighas of land. In addition to farming, he hatched duck eggs from his farm in a 15000 capacity incubator machine worth Rs 12 lakh. His firm has four associates whose total salary is Rs 30,000 per month. He has achieved great success by farming ducks in a completely commercial manner without ponds or water bodies and is looking to expand his farm in the future. At present, he also buys duck eggs from many small farms outside and supplies about three to four thousand ducklings per week. In addition, he has decided to start a white picking duck farm very soon and expand his business through a duck franchise. Keep these white picking ducks for duck meat supply and export that meat abroad.
