Breeding Displays: Stifftails & Buff

April gets all the ducks going! Three of my favourite displays are that of the Maccoa Duck, White-Headed Duck and the Bufflehead.
In the wild, Buffleheads have a stable population and the males display to females in a larger group. The same cannot be said for the Maccoa whos population is declining and now considered a Vulnerable species, and worse still for the White-Headed Duck who are decreasing and considered an Endangered species.
