They're having such a good time they gave us a "Morning Rush" which I haven't seen since I made the pen bigger in November 2013, the warm weather must really give them the roaming bug because they want to roam around the yard big time.
Either I didn't lock up a chicken last night not even knowing I didn't or I've got a chicken that is escaping, a hen was walking around the yard this morning.
Lot of courting and mating action with this warm up in temperatures, nothing like a January thaw to get you blood hot.
The ducks seem to be on a mission looking for gravel and lots of mud today, like little kids if there is dirt & water the ducks will make it into a mud festival.
Now the ducks are getting really curious and are checking out the buildings now, I have to remember to keep the doors closed or I'll be dealing with duck feces everywhere.
Even with the new Olympic lighting the ducks go to bed early, I couldn't believe they were bedding down at 4;30 pm, but then again it was new straw and they really like new straw.
Later that night after the lights were out the ducks came out and spent the night outside under the stars in this nice warm weather. ----------------------------------------------
