The Muscovy drake "Moe" spent the night with Ms. Icecovy and they didn't sleep in different beds.
Ms. Icecovy's feet look better actually much better but they are still really nasty looking, I feel so bad for letting her out side but hell or high water I'm going to make her better, I have to to, it's my fault this time she's screwed up.
Strange today the ducks are giving me the silent treatment, I came out to do the chores and they basically ignored me and acted like I didn't exist.
During egg recon today I discovered Ms. Gimp brooding on the eggs, this isn't the first time either maybe Ms. Gimp is mother material even though Pekin ducks are terrible brooders.
Egg production is seriously dropping off with the ducks molting now, it looks like only the Muscovy are laying eggs, most of the eggs look like Muscovy eggs. Next to no white Pekin eggs or the greenish colour Rouen eggs.
Ms. Icecovy is such a good patient, she co-operates so well, absolutely no resisting. Her feet are getting better the swelling is going down, but her poor little duck feet look nasty.
You don't realize how big the Muscovy drakes are until you see them side by side with the female Muscovy, Moe is a huge Muscovy drake.
Well I was putting the water hose away at the end of the day and caught Moe trying to mate with the Ms. Icecovy, but as soon as they saw me in the window they stopped.
The ducks don't like to be watched mating, they want privacy. ----------------------------------------------
