This morning during the morning rush the ducks seemed to be on some kind of mission ploughing through the snow, but they actually didn't seem to know what they were up to.
Turns out I might not have to plough the snow in the pen unlike last year, the ducks are packing down the whole pen.
They've discovered dirt under the back building behind the barn and really like spending time under there, I can just imagine the mess they are making for me under there.
The Muscovy the last couple of days are developing a whole new look, they are growing new feathers on their heads, it actually looks like someone took a pot and placed it on their heads and gave them a hair cut.
The camera really hate the snow flakes, it seems the melting snow on the touch screen is changing the camera's commands and is causing me all kinds of problems re-programming the camera to make it work again.
Egg production has dropped off today, I guess the snow is screwing up the ducks
When I drained the duck tub they go nuts running to the drain pipe to play in the water draining from the tub.
Put the new light fixture up in the pen, made a huge difference in making the day a touch longer for them so they don't spend so much time inside the shed. I'm going to put the light on a photo cell and a timer so it goes off at 9 pm but comes on automatically when the sun starts to set.
But tonight I left the light on all night, it was a beautiful night out and ducks seemed to be having too much fun for me to end it. ----------------------------------------------
