Many pet owners have been forced to care for your dog at home and meet all their grooming needs during Covid-19. Why Dog Groomers are Opening again after SHUT DOWN Orders! How I...as a professional pet groomer feel about that and how pet owners feel about it too. Not all dog groomers are open for business yet but hopefully by June of 2019 we will see them up and running again:)
Dog groomers ARE essential business! Even dog groomers that come to your house are shut down.
My Dog grooming salon was closed from March 23rd until May 4th. That is 6 weeks. Dogs can’t brush their own hair, or trim their own nails and they certainly cannot clip their own hair…So why were pet groomers ordered to remain closed until further notice?
Milking cows cannot milk themselves…and farmers were not ordered to discontinue operations on their dairy farms.
And what about chicken farmers or pig farmers, they were not ordered to stop providing the care required for the animals they farm raise. In my opinion dog skin and coat care is just as essential as any other agricultural animal. All domesticated animals require humans to maintain their health and skin and coat falls into that category.
