5 reasons why you should schedule your dog with a groomer! It may be too late for your dog's coat If you put off routine grooming for too long. Your pets Groom is time consuming for both the dog and the groomer. As a pet owner it is your responsibility to maintain good health for your dog and that includes skin and coat care. In this video I will help you understand how you, your dog and your groomer can work together to ensure the needs of your pet(s) are covered. You see, pet groomers want whats best for your dog as much as you do. Find the missing link between you and your groomer. You may be surprised to learn the common variable is "dedication" to your pet! That's right...your pet groomer is just as dedicated to your dog as you are my friend!
Here are the 5 reasons why you should schedule your dog with a groomer:
1.) Your groomer understands what is best for you pets skin and coat.
2.) Many health problems your dog suffers from are a direct result of neglected or improper grooming practices.
3.) If you fail to schedule your pets next groom upon check out of their grooming session-you are likely to postpone and overlook your dogs grooming needs until it's too late. And what's worse...when you do realize your pet is in desperate need of grooming, it's possible that your groomer will be booked for weeks until an opening is available.
4.) Infrequent grooming sessions shared between your pet and their groomer does not increase the bond needed to safely ensure a successful groom for your dog and their groomer. Especially when puppies are concerned. It is very important to start conditioning the bond between your pet and the groomer around 3 months of age.
5.) The length of a dogs grooming session is strongly determined by the condition of your dogs coat. With that said, dogs can only be expected to endure a reasonable amount of time working for the groomer (brush out, bath, drying process, more brushing and coat removal and trimming.)
If this time exceeds 2-3 hours, the grooming session becomes intolerable to the dog.
