My Written Review
This is a really simple little grooming brush that is really effective. It is all plastic with plastic bristles that have a bit of bend to them and are affective at combing through knots and pulling out loose fur and dirt. The best thing about this brush is that when you slide the lever forward, the tray underneath the bristles comes up, bringing all of the hair with it. The cleanup is so easy, you just wipe the hair off of that tray and that’s it! I have used many brushes and grooming gloves on my cat and I absolutely hate pulling all of that hair out of them and I can never seem to get it all. With this brush, all of the hair comes out with very little effort on my part. I don’t have to yank any hair out of the bristles- I just wipe the tray off. (See my video for demonstration.
I have a very large, long-haired cat that I use this brush on. She is constantly knotted and hates to be brushed, washed, or have her hair cut. Every time I have used this on her she has just sat there and purred so it must be comfortable for her. She will even let my children brush her with it and they are a lot less gentle at times. It effectively pulls out her loose fur (and prevents her from licking it off and eating it- as she likes to do- or leaving fur clumps all around my house.) and allows me to clean it up without it ending up all over my house. Seriously, when I run the vacuum and empty it out, it is like there is a small cat in there- that’s how much hair sheds all over the house. It is gross! I am more than happy to take a few minutes to brush her and prevent that shedding and this brush makes it pretty simple and easy to do.
