Don't Do It! Unless You're Gonna Do It. Than Just Do It!

When dealing with a dog that is very reactive and aggressive, it is best not to handle them unless you're confident in your ability to do so.
I usually go into these situations with the full knowledge that I could get seriously hurt, and I understand that it would not be the dog's fault bc I am the one who is messing with his body. I am afraid, and I don't enjoy pain. But the knowledge of how much I'm helping the dog, and the compassion that I feel for them when they are suffering gives me the courage that I need to proceed.
John Wayne said it best, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." As a professional dog groomer, we understand this quote so well. We saddle up on a daily basis :-)
