PRODUCT REVIEW: FurSweep Pet Grooming Brush for Petgrooming and Shedding

Strong stainless steel construction with not one piece of plastic in the entire deshedder tool. There is a durable plastic cover to put over the sharp edge when not in use.
We needed something to try to control the horrible shedding from our rottweiler. I am constantly vacuuming and dusting to try to eliminate as much as possible but, for the most part, has been a lost cause. But, when using this tool, her loose hair isn’t gone yet but it looks like we might gain control of it if we use the tool consistently.
The teeth on the deshedder are rounded and don’t seem to hurt our large Rottweiler dog at all. She was a little anxious while we used it but I think it’s mostly because it doesn’t feel like what we normally brush her with. We usually brush her once a week with the long tined kind of dog brush. While that does work, we were trying to find a tool that gets down to the undercoat. This deshedder was pulling more hair even after using the other brush. It actually pulled another partially filled grocery bag after less than 5 minutes of using the FurSweep deshedding tool.
The tool is very easy to use and we do a simple demonstration in the video accompanying this review. We just gently pulled the tool in the direction of our Rott’s hair growth (head to toe and top to down). If you’re not careful, however, I think the rounded teeth could hurt the animal’s skin – so it’s important not to apply too much downward pressure as you comb through the fur.
I received this product for a discount in exchange for an honest review. The opinions shared in this review are based 100% on our personal experience using this product on our Rottweiler, Mya. I hope it was helpful.
