My New Mission: Groomer Licensing in Georgia

Did you know that your groomer is not licensed? Can you believe that dog grooming is not a licensed profession? That means that there are no regulations or legal requirements in order to be a pet groomer. Literally anyone can be a dog groomer, and guess what? That means that if something happens to your dog while being groomed - if your dog is injured or dies - there's no license to revoke, and little to no legal consequences unless you have evidence and can prove that your dog was a victim of intentional cruelty or neglect. Basically, "oops." Because dogs are legally considered personal property, not a valued member of your family. This must change. I am no longer willing to sit on the sidelines and wait for someone to do something. I'm going to do something, and I now have a plan and people who can help me.
