Harley: House Call Visit

Hello everyone!!
I know there were a lot of unanswered questions about Harley: The Aggressive Yorkie. I asked Harley's dad if I could do a short video to address some of the concerns about Harley, and he was more than happy to allow me to film. :-D

I also wanted to address some of the comments and concerns that people had about the owners mistreating him, or that he was suffering from an internal injury or pain. I… I really think he's just nervous about being handled back there. I'm not saying that something internal is not the reason. It just doesn't seem like it to me. Especially when I see him walking around and scurrying off when he's done with the haircut.

Even though I've built up rapport with Harley, and I can touch him now without upsetting him, that does not mean that another groomer can until they've built a unique relationship of their own with Harley. Just because they dress the part, doesn't mean he trusts them. I would not want another groomer to get hurt just because we all think Harley is now "cured". It's not that I'm better or anything like that. It just that he now knows and trusts me. It took a long time over many, many grooming sessions. That's the only way to earn it - you've gotta earn it. You can't buy a dog's trust. That's why grooming them feels so rewarding, and such a fulfilling career for me!
