I got my furminator on Amazon because it was half the price of the same thing at Petco and PetSmart. I have Golden Retrievers and their hair mats easily because they have so much of it. The only brush I have been able to thoroughly thin their coat with is the furminator. I have tried trimming their hair, but I prefer the look of their long hair. With this little tool I can leave their long hair, but still don't have matted fur or dingleberries. This also helps clean up the backyard since they aren't shedding so much and keeps the pool cleaner too.
