Life Saving Makeover from NYC Dog Groomer

In New York City there are 670,000 dogs that die every year for lack of a home. One of the biggest problems standing in their way is as simple as cosmetics.
Strays coming off the streets are often in rough shape with matted fur and abrasions. Mark Imhof volunteers his time, grooming dogs at the New York City Animal Care Centre (NYC ACC). Grooming doesn’t just make the dogs more adoptable, it also prevents matter fur from building up, tightening, and cutting off their circulation.
Mark – an adoptee himself – found his passion for helping dogs find homes after a car accident left him in a coma in 2015.
Thanks to Mark, over 400 dogs have found permanent homes.
