We are now on our 9th state which is Texas for "Hats For 50 States".
I am a artist and craftier living in Florida but was born and raised in Wyoming. We moved to Florida over a year ago to enjoy a happier and healthier life. I decided that I wanted to help spread some love throughout the United States and started "Hats for 50 States". I loom knit stocking caps/hats and each month a new state organization receives my hats to give to those that need them. To let them know that people do still care. My best friend Linda and I are happy to accept any type of knitted, crocheted, or loom knitted items made from you. Also we do accept happily yarn donations. Thank you again to everyone who donates any amount of type of yarn, or hats. Together we are all making a difference.
1st state was Washington....Socks and Soups
2nd state was Arizona.......Flagstaff Shelter Services
3rd state was Alaska ........ AWAIC Abused Women's Aid In Crisis
4th state was Idaho ..........Aid for Friends
5th state was Montana ..........Mountain Home Montana
6th state was Maine............Preble Street Org. in Portland Maine
7th state was Oklahoma.......City Rescue Mission in Oklahoma City, OK
8th state is in Michigan ..............- SITE TO BE ANNOUNCED
9th state is Texas ......... Family Gateway Center, Dallas TX
I PLAN TO DONATION TO ONE STATE EACH MONTH, THEN MOVE ON TO THE NEXT. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
