How to make bone broth meal for dogs

Dislike 0 Published on 27 Jan 2016

My dogs will get this once a week or every two weeks. Make a small or a big bacth according to your dogs needs.
*For Storrage: place in fridge for next meal or place in freezer for another day.
*Supplies:
A cooking pot
A strong blender
Sharp knife
8 pack of chicken legs or 1 whole chicken or your choice of meat with thier bones
Tupperware or ziplock bags

***Note*** this is what i feed my dogs you dont have to do it for your dogs. If your not comfortable giving this to your dog improvise and make it your way. If your dog has a protein intolereance to chicken then just choose your own kind of meat and use the same bones of the same meat that you use. You can also use big soup bones instead of chicken legs. or use lamb, beef, pork, or even cook a whole chicken for your dogs*****

Step1- place chicken legs or your prefered meat in a pot with enough water to cover the meat and start to boil it until done
Step2- remove meat from bones and place the meat in the blender( save 1/2 cup of shredded meat asside)
Step3-get your chicken leg bones and your sharp knife and cut the soft joint tips with your knife and place the joint tips in the blender once in the blender add 1 1/2 cup of the chicken leg broth and blend for 4-5 min until a light brown purea starts forming.
Step4- put the bones back in the original pot with the broth and start adding your mixture that you had in the blender. And bring it so a boil for another 1hour( stir occassionally)
Step5: once the hour is done turn off heat and remove the extra bones(throw the bones away unless your decide to put them in the bone grinder and serve them inside your mixture)
Step6: add the 1/2 cup of shredded meat and stir
Step7: cool down and serve to dog on top of your choice of kibble or feed as itself. **Enjoy**
** if stored in fridge a jelly like consistancy is normal( its all the gloucosamine frome the bones)
**** just reheat on stove top, cooldown and serve to dog with or without kibble.
