Food that are toxic for dogs. The following are some of the worst things to feed a dog and shouldn't fed to your pooch. Most of these are just human food that is okay for humans, but not our four legged friend. 10 things to not feed your dog.
1. Chocolate: Chocolate contains a stimulant called THEOBROMINE. Affects the guts, heart, central nervous system, and kidneys. Vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness, hyperactivity and seizures signs of Chocolate poisoning in Dogs.
2. Caffeine: Coffee, Tea & Other Caffeine are extremely dangerous. Keep coffee beans or tea bags away from reach.
3. Alcohol: Alcohol is more toxic to dogs than humans. Don't leave your beer or glass of wine unattended. Vomiting, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing & tremors.
4. Grapes and Raisins: Not that harmful in small amounts. However, regular consumption of raisins may cause Kidney complications and difficulty urinating.
5. Xylitol a sugar alcohol used as sweetner in gum, candies, baked goods can be danerous to dogs. Continued consumption may lead to seizures, & liver failure.
6. Yeast: Anything with yeast like, dough, & mouldy food. Expands the stomach, can cause bloating, & cause stomach and intestine discomfort.
7. Onions, garlic, and chives: Symptoms can be mild if consumed very less. Long-term effects are gut irritation, red blood cell damage and anaemia.
8. Liver: Small amounts and occationally can be benefitial. However, feeding too much liver can be bad for bones and muscles due to over dose of Vitamin A.
