Believe it or not, there is a right and a wrong way to feed your dog. If you're free feeding your dog you may be opening yourself up to leadership issues in the future.

If you don't know what free feeding is, it's when you leave your dogs food bowl down and continuously fill it. The opposite of free feeding is to have your dog on a regular feeding schedule, or "meal times".
Some people free feed without realizing it. It's pretty easy to switch a dog to a regular feeding schedule, and by doing so you'll be clearing up a lot of potential issues. Who knew that the way you feed your dog could have such an impact??
