May 10-13 This one is a close up of my very tired girl Clash's heartbeat. as the kidneys continue to fail her other organs become under more stress. The vet suggested this may also be a sign of her anemic condition increasing with the illness, so the heart may be working harder to try and get more blood through, which it is basically 'short of' Anemia can happen in advanced (chronic) kidney failure, and will only be detected if a FULL panel of blood work is taken. In Alberta Canada where her care was I paid $125 to have a full panel done, and I believe $85 to just get the partial one to see where the kidney and other organ's (and minerals, etc) values are at. Although i saw differing opinions about whether canines can eat garlic in their diets, i did see that you should NOT give any garlic to dogs who are anemic!!!
