How Should You Feed a Livestock Guardian Dog?

What is the proper way to feed a LGD? Should you feed them elevated or just in a bowl on the ground? We lost a 9 year old Great Pyrenees this year due to bloat. Some people say feed them elevated and some say don't. We have since been feeding our LGD's elevated. An awesome subscriber sent us these night feeders that clip to the fence that make feeding them elevated easy!
