Kids & Dogs | How to feed your dog in his crate

After 10 days of training, we allowed Mikah to feed Georgie. Notice the calm, quiet atmosphere. No words, no jumping, no drooling, no whining.
We feed all the dogs in their crates, for safety and health reasons. We want to prevent little children from getting too close to the food bowl and disturb the dog while he's eating. We also want to give each dog the opportunity to eat their meal without being bothered by other dogs.
The dogs get 5 minutes to finish eating, at which point, we take the bowls away, save any leftovers in an air tight container. Now we can clean the bowl of any bacteria saliva and prevent pests fromentering our home to get into leftover food.
