April 30-13 You can see she has a little bit of pep still after her naps. A few weeks before her diagnosis when I was at the vets we started her on Glucosamine chews and a Medicam regimen to help with the stiff joint issues she has in her hips and front shoulder (the hip issues come from being half Shepherd, and the shoulder issue come from a sprain a few years ago that seems to bother her again more recently). After being diagnosed with her CRF she no longer eats the Gluco chews, so you can see she's a little stiff in this video. Also, Metacam is quite hard on their livers with prolonged use, so although her "dosage" was a 31kg dose in the small syringe, i was giving about a 20kg dose every 2-3 days to provide relief without doing any extra organ strain. It is also supposed to be administered with food, but so is the Aluminum Hydroxide Powder, and so is the holsitic kidney support dropper, so when you have a dog not eating much you don't really want to blast them with a whole cocktail of other agents with it (in my opinion).
