John Sledge, M.D.
Dr. Sledge is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing adult reconstructive and spinal surgery for 25 years. He is also a Founder and Medical Director of Tides Medical, an orthopedic and biologic implant company. He holds several patents for both spinal and hip implants. He has received grant support from Paralyzed Veterans of America, Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation and North American Spine Society (NASS) for his research on patient outcomes following spine and hip surgery. He was assistant chief of orthopedics at the North Shore Medical Center from 2007 to 2009 and had a clinical appointment as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard. Dr. Sledge has conducted NIH-funded animal research for 16 years at the Harvard and University of Wisconsin primate research centers. Dr. Sledge received a medical degree from the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine. He completed the Harvard Orthopedic Residency and Mueller Fellowship programs.
