4. Goldens love to swim.
Most Goldens love to swim, and it's excellent exercise for them, even when young. Introduce them to water and let them explore on their own.Combined with their natural athleticism, this makes Goldens a favorite on the dock jumping circuit. They're always up for a good game of water Frisbee or catch with a tennis ball or other toy.
5.They are natural athletes.
Many of the same features that make Goldens such desirable hunting dogs also make them naturally athletic. Their broad heads, powerful necks, and muscular bodies make them extremely strong and highly energetic. They also have stamina to spare. Goldens love to chase and catch-and they are mighty good at it.
6.Golden Retrievers love to eat.
And they'll eat anything, from the dinner in their bowl to toys, paper, and crayons. If it's out, it's fair game. They also tend to overeat, so savvy owners know to limit treats, carefully measure out food, and feed them only at mealtimes.

Like many dogs, Golden Retrievers like to chew. They also like to hold things in their mouths-remember they were bred to retrieve waterfowl.
