WHAT IS CANINE GENETIC TESTING?
Canines of all breeds have genetics that we can test for abnormalities and things you may not want to pass on to your puppies. No matter if you have Labs, Goldens German Shepard's or Bernese Mountain Dogs like I do, canine genetic testing is important.
For an example: I test my Bernese Mountain Dogs for degenerative myelopathy both SOD1A and SOD1B to ensure a healthy puppy.
I also test for Von Willebrand's disease type one as a Bernese standard test.
Your breed may very. So make sure to check out the "Tests By Breed" section on their homepage to make sure what you need to be testing for.
