This is the fifth breed-focused video series from Project DesiHounds, and the second in the Pandikona playlist.
...

This video is essentially a tour through Pandikona village, through my eyes. My objective with this video was to witness and capture the human element of native dog keeping. Please note that my observations and comments are, of that of a layman. I am not an expert on dogs. I am also not a breeder.

After closely following Mr. Ramu Reddy's earnest and independent efforts to promote this breed of dogs, on Facebook - I finally took the leap to accompany him to the village of Pandikona in Andhra Pradesh.

The videos in these series offer a different take on the breed-focus videos, in that, it focuses on a number of specimens found in the titular village. A tour through the village if you will. The videos(s) show how these dogs, interact with each other and humans both young and old.

The first video is an introduction by Mr. Ramu Reddy, an expert on these dogs, and the second upcoming video is by me; where I shall share with you the observations of a common man. I was particularly amazed to witness the unrestrained nature of these particular dogs and their effortless coexistence with their human companions.

Proper working dogs, the Pandikona were an absolute delight to cover in their original home environment, all thanks to Mr. Ramu Reddy and the people of the titular village.

Note: Mr. Ramu Reddy does not breed pups or sell them. He is a software professional working in Bangalore. His reference, to those interested in getting pups or dogs, is to directly visit the village of Pandikona to procure them.
...
I thank Mr. Ramu Reddy for hosting me, and for his valuable time, utmost consideration and resources in making this interview possible. I thank Mr. Adhi Narayana and all the villagers of Pandikona who wholeheartedly contributed their time and knowledge thereby helping me share these videos with you.

Project DesiHounds, where I produce and publish videos on the native dog breeds of India on YouTube, is strictly the representation of a personal learning experience. It is the chronicling of the people and their dogs I come across on this personal journey, and is not to be considered a professional production or a proper documentary.

With that stated, it is not the aim of the videos, to verify the validity of historic, scientific and other such facts regarding the various dog breeds, that exist in this nation. They (the videos) merely broadcast the information that is communicated to me by: breed enthusiasts, breeders, dog keepers and individuals with a noticeable level of passion, interest and knowledge in the field of native dogs.
