Rottweiler Dog is one of the oldest herding breeds originated and named after a town “Rottweil” in Germany. Massive & Muscular, Rottweiler can be a gentle giant or can be a scary beast depending upon how this breed has been raised. A well-bred and properly raised Rottweiler will be gentle, calm, confident, and loving. Never underestimate the power and protectiveness this breed has who will be always happy to do his job obediently. Rottweiler’s were amongst the earliest police dogs, serve with honor in the military, and were used in drive cattle to market and cattle grazing.

• Rottweiler was almost extinct around the middle of the 1800s. Rotties were herding dogs and were mainly used for cattle herding to major markets but around that time better transportation and railroads were built which reduced the requirement of cattle herders.
• Rottweiler is extremely protective because of which gets a bad reputation for being overly aggressive.
• Rottweiler loves physical and mental exercise. Because of their high energy Rottweiler are always ready for action. They have the stamina to put in a full workday spending time jumping, playing, and investigating any new sights and smells.
• Rottweiler’s sometimes may forget how big they are and can act like puppies leaning on you, nudging you, trying to get on your lap, or jump at you.
• Because of their large head and jaws, Rottweiler has an impressively very strong bite. Their jaws are stronger than German Shepherds and Pit bulls with a bite force of 328 pounds- that is almost half of a shark’s bite force of 669 pounds.
