Snowflake's Story - A breeder dog's rise from hell to heaven

Snowflake lived her entire life confined to an enclosure and forced to pump out litter after litter after litter of Golden Retriever puppies for the sake of her substandard breeder's greed. At the end she had developed terminal cancer of her skull that metastasized into her lungs. A cancer that cost her an eye and untold pain. She was rescued and placed with us as a "hospice" dog to live out her very short remaining time left. Over the last two days the cancer on the right side of Snowflake’s face became increasingly worse. We had her for only a short time and we wanted to show this poor rescued breeder dog so much more joy, but we weren’t going to let her suffer. Her final morning she cuddled in bed between us and we told her over and over how much she was loved by everyone. She went for a final swim in Lake Blue Ridge followed by a hamburger at the marina grill where she got lots of love from people. We buried her on our farm so her spirit would run free and be close to us.
