This Dog Should Not Exist...

In todays video, often times it feels as though most people strolling down the street have a dog, even
then you won't find these particular breeds out in the open. As it is said that a dog is a
man’s best friend, hence it's no surprise that there are a lot of different breeds out there
that people choose to bring into their lives. So we have decided to look into some of the
rarest breeds, the kind of dogs that people only bring into their lives if they're looking for
a genuine status symbol or just want the best of the best. So without further ado, let’s
get into 10 of the rarest dog breeds in the world.

10) Azawakh
The Azawakh is a tall and elegant West African sighthound. It has a short, fine coat
which can appear in several colours. The head might have a black mask and it could
possibly contain white markings on its legs, bib and at the tip of its tail. The Azawakhs
belong to the never ending arid areas of the south Sahara and the Sahel zone. Between
the border regions of Mali and Niger lies the center of the Azawakh Valley. You can find
the breed in abundance here. Originally owned by the Tuareg nomads, they are known
as the “sighthound of the free people.” The Azawakh enjoy particular adoration from the
nomads. They live under the same roof and are completely accepted members of the
family. They assume the role of protecting them and their flocks from invaders. The
Azawakhs are passionate hunters and provide the family with meat. It is here the dogs
weaponize their agility and stamina. The rough and broken terrain is no hindrance.

9) Lagotto Romagnolo
The Lagotto Romagnolo is famed as Italy’s adorable truffle dog. Despite its fluffy looks,
Lagotto are sturdy workers with excellent smell who dig out truffles. The Lagotto
Romagnolo is known for wooly curls that cover the body from head to tail, topped off
with a lavish beard, eyebrows, and whiskers. Lagotto stand less than 20 inches and
weigh less than 35 pounds. But don’t be taken in by their teddy-bear looks—these are
tough workers of great strength and endurance. Lagotto can be traced back to
Renaissance Italy, where they were used as waterfowl retrievers. For several years
though, Lagotto, have been utilised in the Italian countryside to scour out truffles, a
delicious and pricey delicacy. Though many breeds can be trained on truffles, the
Lagotto is generally considered the world’s finest truffle dog.

8) Mudi
The Mudi is an especially versatile, intelligent, alert, agile, all-purpose Hungarian farm
dog. Its courage is helpful for working the foremost stubborn livestock. This dog is a
loyal protector of property and relations without being overly aggressive. Today, the
Mudi, though very rare, is seen as a lively, intelligent, biddable working breed. It is
estimated that there are less than a thousand Mudi worldwide. The Mudi excels at
agility, obedience, and flyball, furthermore as other dog sports. It is a real working breed
and excels at herding both cattle and sheep, and has become popular as a search and
rescue dog. During war II, many Hungarian breeds suffered terrible losses, some almost
disappeared, plus the Mudi was given no immunity as a rare breed. By the 1960s, it had
been rehabilitated from survivors, and in 1966

7) Norwegian Lundehund
From Norway’s rocky island of Vaeroy, the uniquely constructed Norwegian Lundehund
is the only dog breed created for the duty of puffin hunting. Since puffins are now a
protected species, the present Lundehund is just a friendly, athletic companion. At a
glance, Lundehunds seem to be a typical northern breed. But a more in-depth look
reveals several unique traits. They have feet with a minimum of six fully functioning toes
and further paw pads, an “elastic neck” which will crane back allowing the head to touch
the spine, ears that fold shut and versatile shoulders that allow forelegs to extend to the
side, perpendicular to the body. For numerous years Lundehunds were bred on a
remote and rocky island off the Norwegian coast
