Much has been said about this topic over time. And is that with globalization and more comprehensive knowledge of certain breeds of dogs, there has been little interest for some links in the chain that occupy the top positions in terms of dominance and vigor.

Without a doubt they are the dogs with more muscular mass, jaw power and therefore more indicated for tasks of defense and physical activities, but also for that reason more capable of causing any accident if at any moment a problem occurs.

We describe below some of the physical characteristics of these elite athletes:

Most of these breeds have a strong character and great value, athletic appearance, robust and powerful, agility and endurance.

A thoracic perimeter usually between 60 and 80 cm, a height at the withers between 50 and 70 centimeters and a weight greater than 20 kilograms.

A voluminous head, cuboid, robust, with wide and large skull and muscular and bulging cheeks. Exceptionally large and strong jaws, robust mouth, very wide and normally deep.

Neck very wide, muscular and short.

Solid breast, wide, large, deep, arched ribs and muscular and short back.

Parallel, straight and robust fore limbs and very muscular hind limbs, with relatively long legs forming a moderate angle.

The "most dangerous dog breeds" have been cataloged in Spain and in more countries as a result of certain incidents that have taken place in recent years. Some countries have banned them and others like Spain have established certain limitations in the possession of these "dangerous" dog breeds.

It must be made clear that the potentiality of its dangerousness does not necessarily indicate a predisposition to the aggressiveness of a certain race. In fact, some of these breeds are even considered as exceptional pets and protection.

Below we indicate which races have been classified as "dangerous" and whose owners must meet additional requirements to enjoy their possession:

1. Pit Bull Terrier

2. Staffordshire Bull Terrier

3. American Staffodshire Terrier

4. Rottweiler

5. Dogo Argentino

6 Fila Brasileiro

7 Tosa Inu

8 Akita Inu

9 Doberman
