Remember, this is an extreme diet with caloric (but not flavor) restriction and water substitution for a feeling of satiety. When I started the challenge, I recommended at least 5 16oz glasses of water on this diet. I am consuming @ six liters of water spaced out over the course of 10 hours in a day. This diet is a meal plan. Nutrition is being consumed with the water, electrolytes should remain in balance with mild to moderate appropriate exercise. Adequate time is being allotted for bladder evacuation. It must be remembered that I have incredibly sexy kidneys (read healthy, not an alcohol drinker, no physical disease or Psychogenic Polydipsia etc). Healthy kidneys are able to excrete approximately 1 liter of fluid water (0.26 gallons) per hour. The green tea that I incorporate into the diet is a diuretic that elevates the rate of urination and thus provides a mild means of forced diuresis (makes ya gotta pee) without the "jitters" that may be felt with other stronger caffeine drinks. Your caffeine / water tolerance may vary. You must consult your own PHP or MD before starting this or any diet or exercise regime. I drink this volume of water daily regardless. Someone else may have to "ramp" up to reach this amount. Do not, DO NOT, drink this much water in one sitting (certainly not without some crackers). If you are a marathon runner, you should know better. I think we should all take a "potty" break right now.

Be Happy,
