We feed a LOT of comfrey to our chickens, and they really thrive on it. Of course, we offer other foods, but it is one of their top sources of quality protein, minerals, vitamins and nutrients during the summer. Incredibly easy to grow, super functional in the landscape if designed in properly and incredibly easy to propagate and spread if you wanted more. It's the perfect companion plant to supplement and support your chickens.
