Alternative fish food: Surface feeding Jade Perch free range organic chicken eggs in Aquaponics

These Jade Perch are 8 months of age and have been thriving on their home grown diet for the last couple of months. As fingerlings, they were raised on frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms for the first 6 months, just like many types of aquarium fish are. But, as they gained in size, I wanted to ditch the frozen/pellet food, and try feeding them renewable organic types of food I could produce myself. There has always been an excess of eggs from the backyard chickens, so hard boiling them (for 5 minutes) and feeding them to the fish didn't seem too crazy an idea. As it turns out they absolutely love hard boiled chicken eggs and have been eating them ever since.
The aim is to grow these Jade Perch up to maturity without buying any fish food for them, instead only feeding them organic, renewable food sources that can all be home grown such as fresh, free range chicken eggs.
